Clear Lake

Clear Lake this year was tough for me because I was so still so sick with this pregnancy, but the kids had an absolute blast (which makes it all worth it).  This year we were so lucky to have my mom and dad and my brother AD, his sweet wife Heather, and their little one—Carson.  It was also our first year with our trailer—wow what a blessing!  It was heaven having air conditioning (thank you to all our wonderful family who spent all day trying to fix our generator so that I could get out of the heat).

Here are some pics:

Jackson celebrated his 6th birthday at Clear Lake.  It seems like just yesterday we took him to his first Clear Lake—he was only one week old.  How the time flies!  He loves celebrating every year with his cousins.

Tubing on the lake—Madie was crazy this year!  She was into everything, always dirty, and tried to jump off both the boat and tube.

Updating

So, its been awhile since I have had a chance to blog.  I need to update, mostly for my own memory and blog book.  Here we go:

We have had two Sage family weddings (July and August) and one more is on the way in October.  I put pictures up of Dan and Autumn, but we don’t have anything down loaded yet for Dave and Shelly’s.  Stay Tuned.

Jackson and Ray both started school—Ray preschool two days a week and Jackson is a first grader and goes to school all day—he loves having three recesses and taking his lunch.

Jackson and Ray both had their first soccer games this year—Jackson is on Storm and Ray is on the Dolphins.  Jackson did a great job as goalie—the ball only got by him once!  Ray was all over the place and especially loved getting her treat after the game (pictures to come).  I asked Ray the other day if she liked soccer and she said…”Well, they keep taking the ball away from me :).”  I told her that is the whole point—she needs to go get it back from them.

Madie is everywhere!!  She loves playing in water and dirt and loves throwing toys all over the house.  Matt’s cousin gave her a little shopping cart for her birthday in March—it is her favorite thing to wheel around the house!

Jackson just finished memorizing all 13 articles of Faith!  He got a candy necklace as a reward and wore it all day yesterday.  He kept saying…” I am so proud of me” and he couldn’t wait to show his grandma and grandpa.  We are so proud of him—he gets to stand up in the primary program and say #13.

So, lots of words, sorry no pictures, but this is mostly for our own family history.  More updates and pictures to follow!

The Heart of a Lion

Our little Madie is 16 months old.  She is absolutely fearless!  Matt says she has the heart of a lion.  Since she has been able to walk at 1 year, here are a few of the things she has done:

  • Crawled to the top of any slide, no matter how high, and throws herself down—sometimes sliding, sometimes falling…laughing all the way
  • Runs through any kind of water
  • Throws herself into the deep end of a pool, life jacket or not.
  • Wants to jump off a boat going 40 mph (luckily Matt had a good grip on her)
  • Has ridden on a tube behind a boat with both grandma and dad
  • Has eaten leafs, dirt, flowers, algae (from Clear Lake), and probably many more non-edible items that I haven’t caught her with

Here are a few pictures of her being Madie:

Happy Birthday Jackson!

Jackson turned 6 on July 30th.  He had a cool Clear Lake Birthday Party, went out to ice cream, and is having his friend birthday party on Saturday—complete with a slip n’ slide and cup cake bar—I will post pictures.  Tomorrow he starts first grade!  The time sure flies by—we love you Jackson!

A side note:  Jackson received the “Big Brother” award from his kindergarten teacher this year.  We are so proud of him!  That definitely describes our Jackson—kind, loving, loyal and always taking care of everyone.

Swim Lessons

Jackson and Reagan took two months of swimming lessons—May and June.  What a difference it has made!  They are all over the place in the pool/lake…  Here are some pictures:

Baby Sage #4

For the two of you guys that don’t already know (It’s amazing how fast word travels on Facebook), we are expecting our 4th baby in January.  Its hard to believe that adding one more to our little bit of chaos that we call the Sage Family is a good idea, but we couldn’t be happier.  Jackson, of course, would like a brother.  Reagan originally wanted a brother named Jesus, but since we finally convinced her that she already has a brother named Jesus, she decided a sister named Karla (?) would be fine.  We have lots to post, but I have little energy to do so right now..stay tuned.
