Still growing and Growing…

Madie’s Dr. appointment was today. She is 6 months, 23 pounds, and 28 inches. She is officially out of her infant car seat and wearing size 2T and in some cases 3T. I met a sweet sister in my church on Sunday carrying a petite 10 month old. She asked how old Madie was, and was clearly floored when I said six months. It was very apparent that her darling 10 month old was half the size of our six month old—what can you do?

Oh, and for those of you wondering (all 3 of you who read my blog) …Jackson is now 4 foot 1 at age five.

Some serious growth hormones present in my children…By the time my youngest is 5, I will be the shortest one in the family…

Happy Birthday Ray!

Reagan Sage

Happy 3rd Birthday Baby Girl!  Where does the time go?  Our sweet (and often sassy) little girl is growing up so fast, right before our eyes!  She has had a week of celebrations—Disneyland with mom and dad last Monday, a family birthday party on Saturday (she was in absolute heaven from all the attention) and tonight (her actual birthday) we are making her birthday dinner of choice—mac and cheese, vegetables (she didn’t really say what kind), and chocolate cake (really brownies, since I ran out of cake mix).  She has been wearing her princess birthday badge for two days straight and has asked me to sing “Happy Birthday” to her at least three times today.  Happy Birthday little one, try not to grow up too fast and remember that mommy and daddy love you!

Teeth

Madison Sage

Madie’s first tooth came in yesterday (September 7, 2009) (her front bottom tooth).  She is exactly 6 months.  The other one is on its way!  I just can’t believe how fast the time goes…

Heather Chapman

Heather—although we weren’t the closest of friends, I couldn’t help but like you the minute I met you—I learned many things from you.  How to smile through such adversity, how to not take the little things for granted, how to love and live for time is so short…

Heather Chapman died from breast cancer yesterday at the tender age of 32.  She leaves behind her dear husband Scott and two little ones.  Our heart and prayers go out to the Chapman/Luedtke Families.  She will be missed…

Tonight I will hold my husband and little ones a little bit closer and try to always remember how precious and short life really is…
