When my brothers were little, I remember they would play He-Man with their swords. My brother Adam found a sword just like the one he use to play with as a kid. He was so excited and bought it. Alas, he and his family moved and needed to get rid of some things, and the sword had to go, but.... Adam passed the sword along to Jackson, you should have seen Jackson's face light up!! He carries it with him everywhere in the back of his shirt (except preschool and other places where weapons aren't allowed). He even sleeps with it. Thank you Adam for being willing to part with such a cherished item and to pass it along to the next generation of swordsmen...Jackson will cherish it until he passes it along someday to his nephew (if it lasts that long). He loves that sword almost as much as his computer!!

Start practicing Jackson cause when you come up here we're going to duel to the death!!! Consider yourself slapped in the face with my rubber glove....You've been challenged!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those pictures bring back so many memories. I remember being so jealous of the boys and their swards. That was really cool of Adam to pass that along to Jackson!
ReplyDeletethe sword could not have gone to a more worthy squire! Adam is happy to know that the safety of the world is now in Jackson's capable hands :) But I think when Adam goes to sleep at night, he still wishes he had it with him (personally, I'm glad he's finally stopped sleeping with the sword). Thanks for a fun party the other night! Tay keeps singing happy birthday to Reagan...
